KL trip
Whoa... long time no entry... so there was a KL trip on friday, 11 mar to monday 14 mar... badminton soccer netball basketball and volleyball were the CCAs that have gone. It was kind of a holiday for the badminton team, who had two friendly matches cancelled... due to the schools having interschool competitions at that time. That resulted in us playing against only one school, on Friday. Before we went KL, we stopped at another place called Kluang and we played a high school there. Unfortunately we lost. I won my first set, but lost my concentration at the back... felt really bad about letting my doubles partner down. Heard dat the soccer team lost too... but volleyball won... basketball lost by about 20 points... which was not too bad considering that they had 2 state players on their team, and several key players of JJ were injured and not playing. After those matches, we went to a nearby restaurant in the area to have our lunch. It was considered sumptous as we had about 6 to 8 dishes on the table, like those sort of typical meals in a restaurant. after that we spent about 4 hours reaching KL to check in to our hotel. The journey was really quite straining... and almost everyone was slping by the 2nd hour.
On the 2nd day, saturday, the badminton team had no games, the other ccas went for the respective games... while we stayed in the hotel after lunch. From 12 to 8 we stayed in the hotel. We wrote a report for Mr Tay on our plans after going back... it took only less than an hour to do so. and the rest of the time we spent it playing cards. By 5 everyone was bored... and we went back to our rooms to slp. Speaking of rooms, My roomates, siew kang and leroy, we were assigned to room 1703, at the 17 level, where the netballers and volleyballers were staying. How lucky~ haha. The hotel was actually quite comfortable, and i had no problem slping everyday. Sunday and Monday was shopping day for us. On Sun, we went to support the volleyball team at a japanese sch. We were expecting a group of cute japanese volleyball chicks on the court, but we were some sort stunned by the group of middle aged women playing against them. However I was really impressed by the volleyball team, whom they won 3-2. It was really close between the two as the opposition were experienced but we were technically better trained. After that we went to Times Square to shop. It was like Taka of Singapore, except it was bigger, and had an amusement park in it. I didnt have the chance to visit the park as the badminton team went to another mall nearby as it was cheaper there. But i heard from other guys that visited the park, that it was a super cool experienced. wished i had played. X_X anyway that was practically nothing else happening for the trip, except for the time at the customs, where Jun Feng smuggled his chewing gums through the customs by stuffing them into shuttle cock tubes, smart. Overall, i felt dat this was a gd experience... even though not really enriching for the badminton team. But at least we noe how the pro players train. The way they play, i can only dream and dream.
